Gabriella Pescucci

Gabriella Pescucci (* 1941 or 1943 in Rosignano Solvay ) is an Italian costume designer . Pescucci has been nominated three times in her career for the Oscar for “ Best Costume Design ”; in 1994 she received it for Time of Innocence .

life and work

Pescucci received her training at the Istituto Statale d'Arte di Firenze and at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence . After graduation, Pescucci worked as an assistant for Pierluigi Pizzi , Ezio Frigerio and Piero Tosi in Rome . Pescucci has been active in film and television since the late 1960s, but also works for theater productions. Among other things, she designed the costumes for Luca Ronconi's production of Il trovatore at the Bavarian State Opera in 1992.
