content
The film contains various sequences from old films from the beginning of the car age. These were cut together to showcase curiosities and accidents. The narrators comment on this in a flippant or moody way, sometimes imitating a French accent, sometimes imitating a German accent. The main focus is on the automotive history of the United States. For example, you can see Barney Oldfield recreating his record from 1903 with a cigar in his mouth, or footage of the Vanderbilt Cup Race 1906 and an early Indianapolis 500 race.
