Galaxina is an American low-budget - science fiction film by director William Sachs dating back to 1980 . The film is a parody of well-known feature films such as Star Wars , 2001: A Space Odyssey , Star Trek or Alien - The uncanny creature from an alien world with playmate Dorothy Stratten in the lead role of the eponymous heroine.

Shortly after the film was released, the 20-year-old leading actress Dorothy Stratten , who was voted "Playmate of the Year" by readers of the US men's magazine Playboy in 1980 , was killed by her jealous husband, who subsequently committed suicide. Galaxina is Stratten's penultimate film as an actress. The film was first released in Germany in 1982 on VHS .

action

In the distant future, the year 3008, with the discovery of new galaxies and civilizations, the routine occurrence of space flights will increase rapidly, so that police forces will be dispatched to patrol the infinite expanses of the known star systems . One of these manned police spaceships is the police cruiser No. 308 - “Infinity” , whose crew consists of the police and a bizarre, stone-biting prisoner as well as a female, navigating robot called Galaxina. This new and unusual machine, a mute android beauty, is capable of feeling emotions; at the same time it is extremely defensive.

One day Captain Cornelius Butt receives a new assignment. The Infinity and its strange crew are sent on a 27-year journey to the planet "Age 1", where the mystical gemstone "Blue Star" is suspected, with the help of which one can gain control over the universe. On the way to the distant celestial body, which the crew spends in cryo-cold sleep, Galaxina takes over the responsible supervision of all vital functions of the ship. During this time, after the athletic Sergeant Thor falls in love with her, the ship's robot teaches itself to speak, gets rid of its electrical field and programs itself as a "human woman".

Shortly before their destination, Galaxina releases the five-person crew from their almost three decades of sleep, which the men with the exception of Captain Butt survive almost unscathed and unaged. The police chief's cold sleeping chamber was unfortunately sabotaged by an alien life form on board , which, in addition to aging, also leads to a certain senility for Butt. In this phase, the police spaceship is attacked and damaged by the flight object of the evil Ordric - an alien who is also interested in the mineral - which inevitably leads to a rough landing on the target planet. The armed Galaxina is then sent alone to the gloomy city to recover a piece of the rock suspected there, which she succeeds in spite of Ordric's interference. On her mission, however, she is captured by terrorizing rocker aliens who worship Harley David's son and who want to usurp world domination.

Meanwhile, Thor with love, accompanied by Buzz, starts the search for the missing and passionate android, who confessed her love to her beloved Thor at a different time. After a few moments, the search party succeeds in freeing the bound Galaxina, retrieving the blue mineral and returning to the spaceship. In the meantime, Ordric has taken control of the Infinity by force of arms. All crew members, including the arriving search party, are taken into custody by the alien villain until they are dematerialized by the alien on board, who previously caused the physical deterioration of the captain. At the end of the film, the small, nameless monster frees the trapped Infinity crew. The freed "loach" eats the gemstone he is looking for, full of joy at the freedom he has gained. The Infinity then returns to the unreal planet again to search for another piece of rock. Galaxina and Thor become a happy couple.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films wrote that the film was "an illogical science fiction film parody aimed at the acting completely untalented ex-Playboy model Dorothy R. Stratten."
