Georg Calaminus

Georg Calaminus , German Georg Rorich , (born April 23, 1549 in Silberberg , † December 1, 1595 in Linz ) was a neo-Latin poet. He taught at the landscape school in Linz . Calaminus was appointed Poeta laureatus by imperial decree on March 8, 1595 in Vienna for his tragedy Rudolphottocarus , published in 1594 , and at the same time elevated to the nobility.
