Georg Grote

Georg Grote (* 1966 on the Lower Rhine ) is a German historian .

Grote studied at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , where he received his doctorate in 1997. Since 1998 he has been teaching Western European history at University College Dublin and is the author of numerous publications on political and cultural history. In 2016 Grote managed the South Tyrolean education and conference center at Schloss Prösels . Since 2016 Grote has been working as a Senior Researcher at the Eurac Research Center , Institute for Minority Law. His special topics include nationalism , regionalism and in particular the history of Ireland and the South Tyrol issue .
