Georg Leopold von Zangen

Georg Leopold von Zangen (born July 7, 1792 in Gießen , † February 25, 1851 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer.

Life

Georg Leopold von Zangen was the son of Lieutenant Colonel Ludwig von Zangen.

He attended high school in Giessen (now Landgraf-Ludwigs-Gymnasium ) and studied at the University of Law . After completing his studies, on July 4, 1814, he received a job as an acess (candidate, preparatory service) at the government secretariat, the church and school council and the court court in Giessen .

On October 2, 1817, he was appointed to the Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Darmstadt , and on July 6, 1819, he was appointed Legation Secretary, whereupon on July 12, 1823 he was appointed Real Secret Legation Secretary and on September 13, 1824, the Legation councilor followed.

In the summer of 1828 he was employed as a government councilor and councilor at the Royal Prussian and Grand Ducal Hessian Customs Directorate in Cologne and in 1834 at the Royal Württemberg and Grand Ducal Hessian Customs Directorate in Stuttgart. There he was also a representative of the German Customs Union .

On June 19, 1840, he was appointed to the Secret Finance Councilor and on December 26, 1841, he was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Grand Ducal Hessian Order of Louis .
