Georg Wartmann
Georg Wartmann (born September 25, 1645 in St. Gallen ; † June 18, 1727 ibid) was a mayor of St. Gallen ( Switzerland ).
Life
Georg Wartmann was born as the son of his father of the same name, Georg Wartmann , guild master and his wife Anna, b. Weather, born.
He started out as a saddler and then became a tanner . From 1686 to 1702 he was the guild master of the shoemaker's guild in St. Gallen and from 1694 to 1702 he was sub-mayor there.
From 1702 to 1725 he was, alternating with Ulrich Weyermann, Lorenz Werder , Christoph Hochreutiner and Jacob Züblin, in a three-year cycle mayor , former mayor and Reichsvogt .
Georg Wartmann was born in 1674 with Barbara, daughter of Bernhard Ziegler, guild master.
