George Beahm

George Beahm is an American author who specializes in nonfiction books about Stephen King , few of which have been translated into German.

Works

  • The book Stephen King - Leben und Werk (original title: The Stephen King Story ) from 1992, translated into German, is a biography which chronologically retells King's life and the origins of his works and gives an overview of all works up to and including Dolores .
  • The Stephen King Companion from 1995 has a similar structure, but gives an insight into the author's life outside of the literary world (King as a musician, baseball fan, radio station owner, etc.). There are also interviews (e.g. with Clive Barker ) and a chronological overview of all works up to and including Schlaflos, commented on by King expert Michael R. Collings .
  • Stephen King - America's Best-Loved Boogeyman from 1998 is a biography expansion and includes works up to and including Sara .
  • Stephen King from A to Z '- An Encyclopedia of His Life and Work , also from 1998, as the title suggests, is an alphabetical listing of facts about King and also includes all works up to Sara .
  • Knowing Darkness: Artists Inspired by Stephen King from 2009 shows the work of artists who illustrated the works of King and who were influenced by King, it includes all illustrations for King's books up to 2005. George Beahm wrote the essays, Frank Darabont took over the artistic part. This book has only been published in English.
