George Condo

George Condo (* 1957 in Concord , New Hampshire , USA ) is an American painter who is part of postmodern art.

Life

He has lived in New York City since the 1980s , where he was friends with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring . He worked u. a. with William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg .

In 2000 the film Condo Painting (director: John McNaughton ) was released.

For Christmas 2013, George Condo designed a Birkin Bag made of light brown smooth leather with a representation of female nudes and other grotesque figures. The rapper Kanye West gave the artistically designed unique piece to his fiancée Kim Kardashian for Christmas. Condo already designed the album cover of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy for West.
