George Sherman (born July 14, 1908 in New York City , † March 15, 1991 in Los Angeles ) was an American film director who was best known for his westerns and adventure films made in the 1930s . He shot with well-known actors such as John Wayne , Errol Flynn , Anthony Quinn and Rock Hudson .
