Gerhard Jaschke (born April 7, 1949 in Vienna ) is an Austrian author and publisher of the literary magazine Freibord .

Jaschke studied law (without a degree) and has been a freelance author since 1970. In 1976 he founded the magazine and Edition Freeboard together with Hermann Schürrer . His literary work consists on the one hand of work in the area of anagram and lipogram , and in poetry with methodological restrictions .

On the other hand, Jaschke also works and publishes in the area of short prose and lyric poetry and appears again and again as a draftsman. Among other things, the volume Wie noch nie , written on the 10th anniversary of the death of the poet Josef Enengl , was published in the Edition fundamental in Cologne in 2003 . In the Vienna Edition The cheerful living room , the volumes appeared housebroken , word fixed and still. handwritten . In 2015 he published the volume KURUMBA or Die not written sentences in Sonderzahl Verlag . Strands - strands - threads.

Jaschke has organized numerous events, including on Concrete Poetry and Fluxus and Neo-Dada . Together with Ilse Kilic, he is the managing director of the Graz authors' assembly . From 1986 to 2009 Jaschke was a lecturer in literary history at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna .
