Gerhard Müller (born August 15, 1954 in Ballenstedt , GDR ) is a former German ice hockey player and referee in the German ice hockey league and the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga . Today Müller works as a referee trainer for the German Ice Hockey Federation .

Career

Müller played in the 1970s and early 1980s as a right winger for SC Dynamo Berlin in the GDR ice hockey league . Müller also played for the GDR national team for a decade and took part in world championships and the Olympic Games.

Muller was from 1990 IIHF - Chief Judge . He presided at the 1998 Winter Olympics in the Japanese Nagano six games as the main referee. At the German Ice Hockey Federation , Müller works as a regular officer, full-time trainer and deputy referee chairman. With the trainee program, he leads the training of young people, organizes DEB courses and is responsible for the legal area and rule questions and their interpretation.

Honors

Müller is a member of the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame Germany .
