Gerolf Annemüller (born February 11, 1937 in Kaulsdorf (Saale) ) is a German brewing scientist.

Life

Annemüller attended schools in Wittenberg and Schönebeck / Elbe from 1943 to 1955. He then trained as a brewer and maltster at VEB Diamant-Brauerei in Magdeburg and VEB Brauerei und Mälzerei Schönebeck .

From 1957 to 1960 he studied brewing technology at the Humboldt University in Berlin; He wrote his diploma thesis on the growth and metabolism of different types of yeast using D- galactose as the sole source of carbohydrates. with Fritz Windisch .

1960 to 1963 he was an operations assistant, shift engineer, quality controller and laboratory manager at the VEB brewery in Dessau. From 1961 he took part in distance learning at the engineering school in Köthen / Bernburg to train as an engineer for chemical apparatus, which he successfully completed in 1967. From 1963 to 1967 he was a technologist in the lead company at VEB United Breweries Magdeburg; 1967 to 1970 then technical manager of the diamond branch.

Oswald Müke made Annemüller a senior scientific assistant in the field of fermentation technology in the food industry and food technology section of the HUB. In 1975, he wrote his dissertation with a work method for accelerated batch fermentation and maturation of beer in bright full zylondro-conical large tanks for Dr. Ing. 1986 followed the PhD B with the thesis A contribution to the optimization of the wort quality to the Dr. sc. techn.

From 1986 to 1993 he was a lecturer in fermentation technology; After the merger of the departments of HUB and TUB on October 1, 1992, he was appointed university professor and head of the merged departments on June 7, 1993.

He is an honorary member of the Berlin / Brandenburg regional group of the German Brewing and Malt Master Association .
