In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Wilden was the leading film composer of the sex wave in German cinema. One of his best-known works for television is the music for the animated series Heidi (1974).
Wilden also worked as arranger and composer for Michael Holm , Harald Juhnke , Hildegard Knef , Peggy March , Vico Torriani , Martin Egel and many others. From 1961 to 1964 he was director of the Bavarian Radio Dance Orchestra . In 1976 he founded the vocal ensemble Die Viel-Harmoniker , in which he himself participated as a pianist .
