Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation Kassel

The Kassel Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation (CJZ Kassel) was founded in Kassel in 1953 . It was founded by people like Paul Brandstetter , Wolfgang Hallwachs , Hermann Schektiven and Julius Schuster .

The experience of the Second World War and the knowledge of the genocide of European Jews were the reason and motive for the initiative to found the society.

The task of society is to improve the relationship between Christians and Jews and to deal with the historical burdens related to the Holocaust . The society is a member of the German Coordination Council of Societies for Christian-Jewish Cooperation (DKR).
