Gianluca Grava (born March 30, 1977 in Caserta ) is an Italian football player .

Career

Grava started his career at Casertana . About the also lower class playing FC Turris , Ternana Calcio and FC Catanzaro , he came in January 2005 to the third-class Serie C under the name Napoli Soccer competing SSC Napoli . At the end of the 2005/06 season he rose to Serie B with the club . After the club had bought back the naming rights in May 2006 and assumed its old name, Grava contributed to as a regular player for walkover Serie A at. There he was used in his first first division season in half of the games, as he had moved into the second member of the coach Roberto Donadoni , who was newly signed in March 2009 . At the El Madrigal stadium , Gianluca Grava was featured in the final group match of the 2011/12 UEFA Champions League on 9 December 2011 when his SSC Napoli reached the round of 16. In December 2012, he was banned for 6 months due to his involvement in the Italian betting scandal of the 2011/12 season, for suppressing a report on match-fixing. The lock has since been lifted.
