Gigi is a song written by Frederick Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner and used in the 1958 film Gigi . In the version sung by Louis Jourdan , the song was awarded the Oscar in the category Best Song at the 1959 Academy Awards .

The song was covered by Billy Eckstine in 1958 . The song reached number 46 in the Top 100 in Great Britain in 1959 . The title reached number 11 in the British charts and stayed in the top 20 for 10 weeks.
