Location of Glashütte in Rhineland-Palatinate

Glashütte is a district of the local community Lemberg in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Südwestpfalz .

location

The local district is about three kilometers south of the core town in the west of the Wasgau , as the southern part of the Palatinate Forest and the adjoining northern part of the Vosges are also called.

history

Glashütte also historically belonged to Lemberg , which was located in the Lemberg office of the same name and there in the Lemberg official school . The administrative and judicial district of the Lemberg office - and thus also Glashütte - initially belonged to the County of Zweibrücken-Bitsch , from 1570 to the County of Hanau-Lichtenberg and from 1736 to the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt . From 1798 the place belonged to France ( Donnersberg department ), from 1816 to Bavaria ( Rhine district ) and from 1946 to Rhineland-Palatinate .

politics

The Glashütte district is one of four local districts in the Lemberg community and has its own local advisory board and a local councilor .

The local advisory board consists of five members who were elected by a majority vote in the local elections on May 26, 2019 , and the honorary mayor as chairwoman.

Elke Klar became the head of the Glashütte district in 1999. Since there was no applicant in the direct election on May 26, 2019, the upcoming election of the mayor was carried out by the local council in accordance with the municipal regulations. This confirmed Klar for another five years in her office. Her predecessor was Herbert Walther (SPD).

Culture

The only cultural monument on site is a half-timbered house in Heinrich-Weber-Straße from the 18th century.

There are two clubs, the ASV Glashütte and the HSV Glashütte.
