Career
Kevin Godley (born October 7, 1945) and Lol Creme (born September 19, 1947) appeared together on the LP Space Hymns by the musician Ramases in 1971 . In a quartet with Eric Stewart (guitar and vocals) and Graham Gouldman , who were also involved there , they formed the Hotlegs in 1972 and from 1973 the band 10cc . In 1976, Godley & Creme separated from 10cc and worked as a duo in the future.
Her albums, which were released in 1977, move on the borderline between progressive rock and new wave . Her successes include An Englishman in New York , Wedding Bells , Cry , A Little Piece of Heaven and 10,000 Angels . In 1979 she produced the album Long Distance Romancer of Mickey Jupp .
From 1982 they produced video clips for The Police , Duran Duran , Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Yes, among others . The 1985 song Cry formed the musical theme of the "Absolut Miami" episode of the Miami Vice television series .
In the early 1970s, they also developed an effects device called the Gizmotron (The Gizmo ) for electric guitars, which turned wheels to make a violin-like sound possible.
