Gordon Krunnfusz

Gordon Krunnfusz ( July 22, 1931 - July 8, 2011 ) was an American music teacher and composer .

Krunnfusz took accordion, piano, trumpet and organ lessons as a child. His first job as an organist was in high school. He studied music education at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois with a Masters degree until 1952 and then played for two years in a military band. He continued his studies at Northwestern University and graduated in 1958 with a master's degree. After completing his military service, he taught for three years in Ohio and thirteen years in Wisconsin. In addition and after his teaching activities, he was active as an organist and choir director at various churches. He composed and arranged a number of pieces for choir a cappella and with piano accompaniment. His son Dan Krunnfusz also became known as a composer.
