Thank God Friedrich Federer

Gottlob Friedrich Federer (born December 12, 1799 in Stuttgart ; † May 5, 1883 there ) was a Württemberg liberal politician at the time of the March Revolution .

After completing a commercial apprenticeship, Friedrich Federer became a partner in his father Andreas Gottlob Federer's banking and trading house in Stuttgart in 1823.

From 1845 to 1849 he was a member of the Württemberg Chamber of Deputies as a member of the opposition. In 1847 he was a participant in the Heppenheim conference , and at the Stuttgart people's assembly on January 17, 1848, he was one of the main speakers. In March of the same year he took part in the pre-parliament . From September 1, 1848 until the rump parliament broke with the Württemberg liberals on June 9, 1849, he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly as a member of the Imperial Deputation that offered Friedrich Wilhelm IV the German imperial crown. Federer was one of St. Paul's Church to the political group 's West Hall .

In the 1850s Federer became Belgian consul in Württemberg, and in 1866 he was a founding member of the DP in Württemberg. In 1864 he retired.
