The Grün-Gold-Club e. V. Bremen is a dance sport club in Bremen . The club was founded in 1932. The clubhouse is located in the Hastedt district of Bremen and has several dance halls together with the Tanzarena dance school. In addition, the association, which has around 500 members, also has the option of using rooms in Bremen city center.

The association, which focuses on the Today Formation Dance Latin is located, also has individual pairs Standard and Latin, on competitive sport level start, as well as a division for jazz and modern dance . In 2012 a new standard formation was established. The dance sports club also has a mass sports department with corresponding dance groups for standard and Latin.

history

The association was founded in 1932. On November 29, 1932, it was entered in the register of associations , initially as the Grün-Gold dance club . The dance club was initially located in the Gertrud Ehlers dance school in downtown Bremen.

After the Second World War, the club was renamed Grün-Gold-Club e. V. Renamed Bremen . After several moves, the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen moved into a club home in Oberneuland on June 2, 1962. In 2019, the location in Oberneuland was given up and premises in Hastedt were moved into.

In 1964 the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen founded the State Dance Association of Bremen together with the TTK Grün-Weiß Vegesack.

On January 9th, 2002 the Green-Gold-Club Bremen and TSC Schwarz-Silber Bremen merged. The name of the Green-Gold Club was retained. Both partners were able to benefit from the merger: two Latin formations of the TSC Schwarz-Silber started in the 2nd Bundesliga, the individual pairs of the club danced successfully at the state championships. The Grün-Gold-Club, on the other hand, has been holding major events for several decades and has therefore worked closely with sponsors. This enabled long-term sporting planning, especially for the formations of the TSC Schwarz-Silber, while for the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen also the offspring of the TSC Schwarz-Silber, which they could recruit more easily due to the central location and the cooperation with the dance school Stölting , was interesting.

With the merger of the two dance clubs, formation dancing got a higher priority at the Grün-Gold-Club. The main focus of TSC Schwarz-Silber Bremen, which was founded on November 11, 1975 and emerged from the dance club Schwarz-Silber of the Klug dance school, was on formation dancing.

Today the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen works closely with the Tanzarena, a dance school in downtown Bremen. The dance school runs under the direction of Roberto Albanese, Uta Albanese and Ute Logemann. It promotes young talent for the club.
