The Graswang valley is a valley in the Ammergau Alps in Upper Bavaria .

The valley is located in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the community-free area Ettaler Forst and part of the municipality of Ettal south of the Klammspitzkamm and north of the Kreuzspitzgruppe and Kramergruppe . The largest side valley is the Elmautal between Kreuzspitzgruppe and Kramergruppe. The optical end of the valley to the west forms of the high board Tegelberg group belonging Scheinberg Spitz .

Linder in the upper Graswang valley

The Graswang valley is about 15 km long and runs mainly in a west-east direction. It begins at the German-Austrian border near the Ammersattel at the confluence of the Fischbach and Neualmbach rivers to the Linder at an altitude of around 1080  m and ends in Ettal Weidmoos at 840  m .

The Linder flows through the entire Graswang valley before it turns north in the Weidmoos as a bunting . State road 2060 also runs through the entire valley . The Ettal districts of Linderhof with Linderhof Castle , Graswang , Dickelschweig and Rahm are located in the valley .
