Guido de Werd (born December 6, 1948 in Oss , Netherlands ) is a Dutch art historian .

Live and act

Guido de Werd obtained the Dutch degree "doctorandus" . In 1972 he was in Kleve assistant Friedrich Gorissen , director of the Museum Municipal Museum Haus Koekkoek , and in 1976 his successor. From 1997 he headed the Museum Kurhaus Kleve . His place of residence remained Nijmegen . In 1987 he was a co-founder of the “Friends of the Kurhaus Museum and Koekkoek-Haus Kleve e. V. "Guido de Werd played a key role in the conception and implementation of the" Friedrich-Wilhelm-Bad / Atelier Joseph Beuys "building project, for which the Freundeskreis collected donations of 470,000 euros. In 2010 he was retired as museum director, he remained until 2014 the institution's “senior curator”.

Guido de Werd is married to the art historian and curator Rita Kersting . You have two children and live in Cologne.
