The Höttinger Bach is an almost 4 km long left tributary of the Inn in Innsbruck in Tyrol .
It rises in the Nordkette , the southernmost mountain range in the Karwendel , south below the Frau Hitt , flows south through the Höttinger Graben that he created , where further tributaries make the stream larger, and flows into the Inn in the Mariahilf district . The above-ground part is visible in Hötting up to the intersection of Schulgasse and Bildgasse, after which the stream runs in an underground canal. The creek lies entirely in the Innsbruck city area.
The catchment area of the Höttinger Bach is 7.1 km² and extends over almost 2000 meters in altitude to the Vorderen Brandjochspitze ( 2559 m above sea level ).
The city built a drinking water reservoir near its source, which is primarily used to supply the Hungerburg region. The stream retains its excellent water quality level I throughout the course.
