HRT1 is the first public television broadcaster of Hrvatska radiotelevizija with its headquarters in Zagreb .

HRT1 is mainly used for news, quiz shows, political talk shows and series from mostly Croatian or ex-Yugoslavian production. In recent years, more and more German series have been broadcast on this channel.
