Haiko Hirsch (born September 13, 1983 in Krefeld ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing for the Ratinger Ice Aliens from the Regionalliga since the 2018/19 season .

Career

Hirsch began his career in the junior team of the Krefeld Penguins , where he was active with the junior team in the German junior league during the 2000/01 season . There he was able to achieve 46 scorer points in 38 league games and was one of the strikers with the best points within the team . In the summer of 2001 he joined the then newly founded Grefrather EC from the Regionalliga NRW . After three seasons he left the GEC and switched to league rivals Black Devils Niederrhein . There he was able to improve again and scored 99 points in 70 games in the two years in which he was under contract in Moers . Thereupon those responsible for the Dutch first division club Smoke Eaters Geleen became aware of the then 23-year-old and made him a contract offer. Hirsch decided on the one-year contract and then went on the ice in the Eredivisie .

In the Netherlands, Hirsch only made ten league appearances and another three games in the Challenge Cup , the cup competition. After he could not reach the play-offs with the Smoke Eaters and his contract was not renewed, he decided to return to Germany. Finally, it took the management of the Herner EV 2007 under contract with which he the end of the 2007/08 season in the league rose. Despite the recent success, he left the HEV after only one season and moved to the Regionalliga NRW for the 2008/09 season to rival EHC Dortmund. With the Elchen, Hirsch rose to the top division at the end of the season. He then moved to EV Duisburg in the regional league .

On October 17, 2010 the change from Hirsch to the upper division Neusser EV was announced. There and one season later in the cooperation between the Prussians from Krefeld, KEV 81 and the Krefeld Penguins, Hirsch only played a few games for professional reasons.

For the 2012/13 season, Hirsch also switched to Eisbären Heilbronn because of his job . There he won the regional league championship in 2012/13 and 2013/14. In the 2014/15 season he moved to SC Bietigheim-Bissingen during the season and played there for the amateurs with whom he also won the regional league championship in the 2017/18 season.

For the current 2018/19 season, Hirsch moved to the Ratinger Ice Aliens in the Regionalliga NRW.

In total, Hirsch was able to win the regional league championship 5 times .
