Hanak is a German rock band from the Cologne area that sings mainly in Kölsch . It was founded in 2008 and is known for carnival hits like Haifischzahn , the official anthem of the Cologne Sharks .

The band name is derived from the Cologne word Hanak for sly, mischievous, rascal person.

history

Hanak was discovered in 2008 by Höhner member Jens Streifling, who also produced the band at the beginning. The former member Hanz Thodam switched to the Cologne dialect band Domstürmer in 2014 . In October 2019 Hanak started working with Mitch Arenz, who has been responsible for the band with his company Arenz Media since then in matters of management.
