Hannes Ambelang (born September 15, 1982 in Hennigsdorf ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Indoor volleyball

Born in Hennigsdorf, he began his volleyball career in 1995 in the junior team at VC Olympia Berlin . In 2001 Ambelang moved to the second division Volley Dogs Berlin , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2002. In 2004 the Libero switched to local rivals Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen , with whom he again achieved promotion to the Bundesliga in 2006. Ambelang ended his indoor career in 2007 due to injury.

beach volleyball

Ambelang also played beach volleyball parallel to his indoor career. With Manuel Rieke he reached fifth place at the U21 Beach World Championship in Catania in 2002 and won the bronze medal at the U23 Beach European Championship in Stare Jabłonki in 2003 . In 2007 he played three tournaments in the German series with Arvid Kinder .
