Hanns Bohatta

Hanns Bohatta (also: Hans Bohatta ; born December 2, 1864 in Vienna ; † October 30, 1947 ibid) was an Austrian librarian, bibliographer and lexicographer .

Life

Bohatta studied classical philology in Vienna and received his doctorate there in 1889. From 1890 to 1922 he was a civil servant at the University Library of Vienna . Together with Michael Holzmann , he edited the "German Anonymous Lexicon" (7 volumes, 1902–1928) and the "German Pseudonym Lexicon" (1906), cited bibliographically as Holzmann-Bohatta and Holzmann / Bohatta .
