Hans-Georg Lambert (born October 7, 1939 - † September 4, 2015 in Zaandam in the Netherlands ) was a German football player .

Career

Lambert played two seasons in the major league for 1. FC Saarbrücken . In his first season in 1958/59 , he finished fourth. On September 27, 1959, he was with 1. FCS in the Southwest Cup final against Borussia Neunkirchen , which was lost 1-0. A year later, in Lamberts last year in Saarbrücken, third place was achieved. He moved to the Netherlands and played for Willem II Tilburg for two years before returning to Germany. Lambert came to Karlsruher SC last year of the first-class Oberliga Süd . KSC succeeded in qualifying for the Bundesliga by reaching fifth place . Lambert was not used in any season game, he remained a substitute. For the premier season of the Bundesliga, FC Schalke 04 showed interest in signing Lambert's teammate, national player Günter Herrmann . At that time, the maximum amount for a player change by the DFB was set at 50,000 DM . This sum was too little for the KSC for the change. So the KSC and the S04 agreed - according to the findings of the DFB sports court - on the change of two players for the total amount of 100,000 DM (allegedly 2 times 50,000 DM). In addition to Herrmann, Lambert also moved to Gelsenkirchen.

At Schalke, Lambert played two friendly games at the beginning of the season, injuring himself in Deventer . After that, due to the transfer matter, he was temporarily banned in the 1963/64 season , he was only used on the 9th match day against Werder Bremen , the home game was lost 2: 3 by S04 and Lambert received praise, but was injured again Half-time as an extra had to make ends meet. In the further course of the year, the Saarlander was only left with the role of reservist, also because of injury problems that accompanied him, and he did not return to friendship missions until the end of the 1964 season. Lambert only played one Bundesliga game in two seasons. Later he was again in the squad of a Dutch club, USV Elinkwijk , and then became a coach .
