Hans-Jürgen Wünschel

Hans-Jürgen Wünschel (* 1947 in Bad Dürkheim ) is a German historian .

Life

After graduating from the Werner-Heisenberg-Gymnasium Bad Dürkheim in 1966, he studied history, political science , German and English at the University of Heidelberg from 1966 to 1974 . He passed the first state examination in May 1971 . From 1975 to 1976 he was an advisor for research funding in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Culture . After graduating as Dr. phil. In December 1974, from 1976 to 1981, he was a consultant for fundamental questions of educational and cultural policy in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Culture . From 1981 to 1982 he headed the office of the Minister of Education, Georg Gölter . In May 2002 he was appointed professor at the Catholic University of Czestochowa.

His work focuses on German history of the 19th and 20th centuries, history of the USA and the history of Rhineland-Palatinate.
