Hans-Werner Rhein

Hans-Werner Rhein (born June 29, 1952 in Aurich ) is a German insurance lawyer .

Life

As the son of a Hamburg insurance lawyer , Rhein studied law , economics and psychology at the University of Hamburg and the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg . There he became a member of the Bremen Society of Freiburg im Breisgau . After the two legal exams he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD.

He was in Miami in 1979/80 and did a Master of Comparative Law there . In 1980 he was in Hamburg as a lawyer admitted. Since 1982 as a reinsurance broker at Jauch & Hübener, he joined the management of the legal successor Aon Jauch & Hübener in 1994 . From 1997 to 2010 he was managing director. Since 2006 he has been a lecturer in reinsurance law at the JurGrad of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . Since 2011 he has been an independent lawyer in Hamburg-HafenCity . He is currently chairman of the supervisory board of Deutsche Familienversicherung AG and sits on the supervisory boards of Aareal Bank and Gothaer Allgemeine Vers. AG .

As a legal knight of the Order of St. John , he is deputy commander of the Hamburgische Kommende .

He is married to Kristina geb. v. Bülow . He has a married daughter with her.
