Hans Feuß (born June 12, 1952 in Bielefeld ) is a primary school teacher and was a member of the state parliament of the SPD in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Hans Feuß grew up in Bielefeld and graduated from high school there in 1971. After completing his military service in Augustdorf , he began studying sports, German and history at the Pedagogical University of Westphalia-Lippe in Bielefeld.

From 1977 to 1989 Feuss taught at the Steinhagen secondary school and since 1987 has been a consultant for school sports at the Gütersloh school office and the Detmold district government . Feuss has been teaching at the Künsebeck elementary school in Halle (Westphalia) since 1989 . In 1994 he became the head of sport at the Bielefeld study seminar and has been the main seminar leader there since 2005.

From 2000 to 2004 he was a seconded teacher at the University of Bielefeld .

Feuss is a handball goalkeeper and coach and has played for TSV Altenhagen for three years in the regional and two years in the major league. From 1979 to 1992 he trained various handball teams. From 1992 to 2007 he was also a freelancer at Radio Gütersloh , where he commented on sporting events; including the second division games of FC Gütersloh . Feuss held the post of second chairman in the Gütersloh district sports association from 1999 to 2001, and has headed it since 2011.

Hans Feuss is married and has a son.

Hans Feuss joined the SPD in Bielefeld- Gellershagen in 1977 . From 1994 to 2012 he was a member of the city council in Harsewinkel and has been deputy parliamentary group spokesman there since 1999 . From 1997 to 1999 and from 2004 to 2009 he chaired the school, culture and sports committee. Since 1997 he has also been a member of the SPD local association in Harsewinkel.

From 2000 to 2005 Feuss was chairman of the working group for education of the SPD in the Gütersloh district . He has been the party's district chairman since 2006.

After two unsuccessful Landtag candidacies in 2005 and 2010 , he succeeded in 2012 in winning the direct mandate of the Landtag electoral district of Gütersloh II with 37.75% and moving into the Landtag, to which he was a member until 2017. As a result, Feuss resigned his mandate on the Harsewinkler city council at the end of 2012 and his son moved up for him.
