Hans Hartwig

Hans Hartwig (born February 24, 1917 in Neisse , Upper Silesia , † June 25, 2012 in Ulm ) was a German composer , conductor , violinist and trumpeter .

Life

Hartwig received his first violin lessons at the age of eleven. From 1932 to 1936 he attended the music and orchestra school in Münsterberg and during this time took special lessons with the Philharmonic of the Silesian Philharmonic in Breslau . He completed his military service in the music corps of the 14th Infantry Regiment in Constance . He then studied in Berlin at the Academy of Music Dirigatur . From 1940 to 1943 (general dissolution of the still existing music corps) he was conductor of the music corps in the 10th Panzer Regiment.

After the war, Hartwig was Kapellmeister at the “New Theater” in Karlsruhe (1946–1948). From 1950 to 1953 he was a musician in the Südwestfunk- Tanzorchester Baden-Baden . From 1953 he was music director in Gengenbach / Black Forest, from 1965 he took on the same function in Weingarten / Württemberg.
