Hans Vorhauer

Hans Vorhauer (born May 26, 1894 in Piteşti , Romania , † November 8, 1982 in Lübeck ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1955 to 1960 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Vorhauer was born in Romania, but his parents returned to Germany a year after he was born. There he attended elementary school in Gunsleben from 1900 to 1905. Then he was an alumni of the humanistic grammar school "To the monastery of our dear women" in Magdeburg until 1912. After attending school, Vorhauer began studying medicine at the universities in Marburg and Halle, which he interrupted in August 1914 to report for the First World War. In October 1914 he was taken prisoner by Russia, from which he was only released in July 1920. He continued his studies at the University of Halle on to say that he in 1922 with the graduation to the Dr. med. finished. He then worked as a doctor in the German Warrior Spa in Davos until 1927. He then worked as a pulmonologist in Hanover . He joined the SPD and was a councilor for the city of Hanover from 1949 to 1964. In 1955 he was elected to the Lower Saxony state parliament, to which he was a member until his resignation on February 19, 1960. He was a member of the third and fourth electoral terms. In the fourth he was chairman of the Health Care Committee.
