Hans von Puttkamer

Hans von Puttkamer (* 1878 ; † April 4, 1922 ) was a German officer in the Prussian Army .

Life

Hans von Puttkamer attended the cadet institute . From 1876 he served in the Old Prussian Infantry Regiment No. 24 in Neuruppin . From 1901 to 1905 he was a cadet officer in Potsdam . In 1906 he was assigned to the Schutztruppe for German East Africa . He took part in the First World War on all war fronts . He was wounded five times and was most recently a major . After the end of the war he belonged to a volunteer regiment for another year. From 1920 to 1922 he worked in industry.

He was an honorary knight of the Order of St. John and was buried in the Invalidenfriedhof . The Puttkamer have the grave repaired and the stolen iron cross replaced.
