German Julius Koeber founded "Koeber's Eisen und Bronzewerke" in 1855. In 1910 the company was merged with the Eddelbüttel machine factory to form "Harburger Eisen- und Bronzewerke AG" (HEB). The Friedrich Krupp AG took over the company in 1959. The first hydraulic hot press worldwide were developed 1,972th The production plant in Belišće , Croatia was acquired in 1972.
