description

The former winegrower's house with a small cellar, which is under monument protection together with the gate system and gate, stands on the eaves near the street on Bennostraße. The two-storey, five-axis residential building is fully plastered; the outer walls, which are made of half-timbered walls, are clad with brick walls. On top of this, the building has a high, tiled, crooked hip roof . In this, in the middle of the street, there is a dwelling with a four-sided dome roof and weather vane, in the gable with a three-part window, above a round arched field with figural ornamentation. The dwarf house is accompanied by two dormers . The roof ridges are decorated with shaped tiles .

The windows are framed by sandstone walls.

During the renovation, holes were found in the west facade that may have served as tap holes for a beam support. This could be an indication of a then located on the building located portico be. Step fragments on the centrally fitted window of the street view suggest that the entrance to the central room on the ground floor was once there.

The single-storey, also listed, half-timbered outbuilding stands above a large, vaulted wine cellar.

The gate system consists of large sandstone pillars with cap stones.

history

The building was erected between 1730 and 1740, presumably by the widowed court councilor Schubart. The annex was built in 1851.

In 1890 an apartment was built into the main building. Today's appearance was created in 1894 when the owner at the time Arthur Eisold had his house completely renovated. This date is also immortalized in the weather vane .

After the fall of the Wall, the building was renovated in accordance with the requirements of a historical monument and was completed in 1999.
