Heather Deen Locklear (born September 25, 1961 in Westwood , Los Angeles , United States ) is an American actress and producer .

Life

Locklear is the youngest of four siblings. Her father, Bill, who worked at the University of California , has Native American and African ancestry, and her mother, Diane, is of Scottish descent. On the maternal side, she is related to Marla Maples , the second wife of Donald Trump .

Locklear was married to rock musician Tommy Lee ( Mötley Crüe ) from 1986 to 1993 , who later married Pamela Anderson . After the divorce she married in 1994 the guitarist of Bon Jovi , Richie Sambora , with whom she has a daughter.

On February 2, 2006, she announced the separation from Sambora and filed for divorce. After the divorce, she was in a relationship with Jack Wagner . In August 2011 they announced their engagement, which was broken off in early 2012.

In late February 2018, she was arrested by police officers on suspicion of domestic violence and assault .

Career

While studying at UCLA , Locklear began modeling and working as a promotional testimonial for the college shop. This was followed by first appearances in television series such as CHiPs , 240-Robert and Eight Is Enough in the early 1980s . Then began a long-term collaboration with producer Aaron Spelling , who cast her for the role of Sammy Jo Dean in the television series The Denver Clan (Dynasty). After only sporadic appearances at the beginning, it was counted as a regular cast from 1985 until the series ran out in 1989.

In the police series TJ Hooker , Heather Locklear played officer Stacy Sheridan alongside lead actor William Shatner . In 1990 the actress won the Golden Raspberry in the category “ Worst Actress ” for her role in The Green Thing from the Swamp .

After a few minor engagements for supporting roles, Locklear played the role of Amanda Woodward in Aaron Spelling's Melrose Place from 1993 , an offshoot of the American youth series Beverly Hills, 90210 . The portrayal of the intriguer Woodward brought her from 1994 to 1997 Golden Globe nominations for "Best Actress in a TV Series". The role initially created only as a guest appearance has been expanded to become one of the main characters in the series. At the height of her popularity with Melrose Place , Heather Locklear appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone in 1994 . Twice, in 1994 and 2001, she appeared in People Magazine 50 Most Beautiful People.

After the end of the series in 1999, the American got the role of Caitlin in the sitcom Chaos City , which she impersonated in seasons four to six.
