Heide Rezepa-Zabel

Heide Rezepa-Zabel , née Rezepa , (born September 16, 1965 in Lünen ) is a German art historian and art expert .

Life

Heide Rezepa-Zabel attended the Anne Frank Gymnasium in Werne from 1976 to 1985 . She then studied art history and business administration at the University of Hamburg and received her doctorate in 2006 on “Das Deutsche Warenbuch” under Tilmann Buddensieg at the Institute for Art and Visual History at the Humboldt University in Berlin . The research was supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom . She completed the Christie's Education Program at Christie's London auction house .

Since the mid-1990s, Rezepa-Zabel has focused on applied arts in the art trade and project-related in the Werkbundarchiv - Museum der Dinge in Berlin . There she offers workshops on selected topics and materials, works in an advisory capacity and maintains a monthly consultation hour in the museum's exhibition rooms for the assessment and evaluation of art and design . It operates a trading platform and prepares expert reports and appraisals as an independent expert. Since 2013 she has appeared as an expert in the ZDF series Bares for Rares , where she evaluates art and antiques and, as a trained diamond appraiser and gemologist , primarily evaluates historical and modern jewelry . In June 2017 she was a guest on the talk show Markus Lanz . In September 2017 she was part of the six-member jury of the “48. German Jewelry and Gemstone Prize "and the" 29. German young talent competition for gemstone and jewelry design ”in Idar-Oberstein . In November 2019, she appeared on the TV show Maischberger as an expert on the evaluation of the Dresden jewelery theft .

Heide Rezepa-Zabel lives and works in Berlin. The mother of three daughters is married to the tax advisor Günther Zabel.
