Heinrich Heidenreich

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich Heidenreich was abbot of Sedletz Abbey from 1281 to 1320 and briefly abbot of Waldsassen Abbey in 1304 .

Under Heinrich Heidenreich the Sedletz monastery experienced a heyday, which was not least due to the silver finds near Kuttenberg . Heidenreich's long term in office in Sedletz was interrupted by only two months as abbot of the Waldsassen monastery . At the request of the monastery and the population, he returned to Sedletz. In search of a new abbot, the abbot von Walderbach was offered to come to Waldsassen, but he declined.
