Heinz-Norbert Jocks

Heinz-Norbert Jocks (* 1955 in Düsseldorf ) is a German journalist , author , art critic , exhibition organizer , essayist and publicist .

Life

Heinz-Norbert Jocks studied German, philosophy and history at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. During his studies he worked as a freelance journalist for numerous newspapers and magazines, such as the Basler Zeitung , Die Presse , Salzburger Nachrichten , art - Das Kunstmagazin , Theater der Zeit , Lettre International .

Since 1979 he has been a permanent employee and correspondent for Kunstforum International at home and abroad, especially for China and France. He was the editor of numerous volumes of Kunstforum International, including on photography and contemporary art in Beijing. He has contributed to Lettre International and Art Press magazines .

For the series Dialoge: Kunst, which he designed . Literature Jock had conversations with Durs Grünbein , Marlene Streeruwitz , Mike Kelley and Annette Messager . The book Das Ohr am Tatort contains conversations with Gotthard Graubner , Heinz Mack , Roman Opałka , Otto Piene and Günther Uecker .

Jocks had lectureships at the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences in the field of photography, at the Muthesius Academy of Art , the Heinrich Heine University , the Düsseldorf Art Academy , the Karlsruhe University of Art and Design , the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in China and the Central University of Fine Arts, short CAFA in Beijing.

Heinz-Norbert Jocks lives in Düsseldorf and works in Paris and Beijing .
