Heinz Kremers

Heinz Kremers (* 19th October 1926 in Rheydt ; † 26. May 1988 in Moers ) was a German Protestant theologian and theology - professor .

Kremers studied after graduating from the school Odenkirchen Protestant theology in Wuppertal , Tübingen and Göttingen and was from 1954 as pastor operates. In 1959 Kremers became a full professor at the Pedagogical Academy in Kettwig and, after it was moved to Duisburg in 1968, at the Pedagogical University Ruhr, which was integrated into the newly founded University of Duisburg in 1972 .

Kremers was awarded the Buber-Rosenzweig Medal in 1986 for his intensive commitment to Christian-Jewish dialogue and German-Jewish understanding .
