Hellcat Records
Hellcat Records is an American music label . It is a sub-label of Epitaph Records and was founded in 1997.
Hellcat Records is run by Tim Armstrong (singer for Operation Ivy , Rancid and Transplants ) and Chris LaSalle. Hellcat CDs are mostly released in digipacks and have a black, scribbled cat as a label insignia on the back.
The musical styles of the Hellcat bands range from Ska ( Hepcat , The Slackers , Gadjits ) to Streetpunk ( Roger Miret and the Disasters , Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards , Rancid , Dropkick Murphys ) and Psychobilly ( Nekromantix , Tiger Army , Horrorpops ) to Hardcore Punk (F-minus).
The prices of the sound carriers are kept low and a label sampler called Give 'Em the Boot (six episodes until October 2007) is released at regular intervals . In addition, a DVD of the same name was released in 2005 .
