Hellmuth Eichner

Hellmuth Eichner (born May 15, 1946 in Schönenberg ; † September 7, 2012 in Bonn ), called the Eichner , was a German painter and sculptor .

biography

Eichner initially studied at the Cologne factory schools and was expelled from the Kadow class in 1971 for blasphemy . This was followed by studies at the Düsseldorf Art Academy , where he was a master class student with Rolf Sackenheim and at times a student with Joseph Beuys .

Since 1965 his pictures have been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. They are also represented in several public collections. As early as 1985 the artist was able to refer to 100 solo and collective exhibitions. In 2004 Eichner was included in the handbook of visual artists ( KG Saur Verlag , Munich).

Eichner lived and worked in Swisttal-Buschhoven since 2000 . He died after a long illness at the age of 66.

Exhibitions (selection)

Purchases of Hellmuth Eichner's pictures can be found in the catalog of the municipal art museum in Göttingen (1975), in the art museum and in the Rheinisches Landesmuseum in Bonn, as well as in several Bonn ministries. The former Ministry of Post (now Deutsche Post AG) acquired the triptych Art and Work, No Opposites .
