action

The busy Jess is called to the retirement home. His father, Helmer, was not present at breakfast, which is why they looked for him and found him in the closet of his room, which he refused to leave and would instead like to be left alone. Nolens volens, Jess talks to his father and reproaches him for having promised to try the old people's home and that he has only been here for a month. Jess is repeatedly interrupted by calls from an employee and his father gives him advice from the closet on how to deal with the caller. After all, it was once his company and he has known the employee for a long time. He now owes the company three bottles of whiskey.

The nursing home administration also called Jesse's sister, Vibeke. She appears with her daughter Sophie and says at first that her father is dead. After finding out that this is not the case, she starts a conversation with the father in all normalcy, since she had sold her first picture.

In the end, Jess and Helmer start an argument about the company again, while the nursing home staff go looking for Asta, a resident. Jess angrily tells his father that there was a time when he was afraid of Helmer's death, but that would no longer be the case. Immediately afterwards he is sorry for what has been said and apologizes. The father leaves the closet to hug the son. He is stark naked, which is why the daughter refuses to take part in the family reconciliation. Now the second door of the closet opens, in which another naked woman is still sitting. Helmer introduces her as Asta. The daughter is a bit shocked, which is why the father asks her if she doesn't have sex every now and then. After his father has given him complete freedom of choice over the company, the employee calls Jess again. Now he answers very calmly and even demands the three whiskey bottles. When they say goodbye, he tells his father that Asta is very nice.
