The coat of arms shows a golden Irish cross in a green shield, the Celtic cross and the green color refer to the "green island" Ireland , home of the Franconian apostles Kilian, Kolonat and Totnan. At the top on both sides a silver shell, it reminds of the apostle James, the church patron of Bauer's home parish Schimborn.
