Inhibition malformation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An inhibition malformation is a malformation that is characterized by a premature stoppage of organ development . The causes of an inhibition malformation are either mechanical obstacles, genetic disorders or exogenous influencing factors. A malformation of inhibition leads to a missing organ ( agenesis or aplasia ) or to an underdevelopment ( hypoplasia ) of the organ. Incorrect localizations can also occur due to a lack of organ displacement, for example in omphalocele .
