Henner Misersky
Henner Misersky , actually Henrich Misersky (born December 25, 1940 in Jena ) is a German, former competitive athlete and cross-country skiing trainer . After his refusal of the state-prescribed doping in the GDR competitive sport , he was dismissed as a trainer. In the later years of his life, Miserksy won numerous German senior championships in cross-country skiing and several gold medals at senior world championships.
Life
Misersky studied at the University of Jena . In 1965 he was GDR runner-up in the 3,000-meter obstacle course . He was denied an academic career and doctorate, who was considered "politically unreliable". He became a teacher for endurance sports at the TH Ilmenau and later an official youth trainer at SC Motor Zella-Mehlis . His daughters Heike and Antje were successful cross-country skiers in the youth field. After he refused to give the cross-country skiers he trained (including his daughter Antje) male hormones as a doping agent, he was dismissed as a trainer in 1985 without notice. His daughter was banned from participating in competitions.
